MIAU 2.0
scenography, 2025
interactive exhibition
Ost-Passage Theater, Leipzig
A first kiss takes courage - just as it takes courage to say no when a person doesn't respect your wishes or physical boundaries. But how do I find out what I like and what I don't like? Where do I feel affection in my body, for example? How can I practise saying no? The topic of boundaries and boundary violations is particularly challenging in adolescence and can sometimes lead to serious injuries - especially among young people. Peer-to-peer violence among young people in relation to sexuality and sexual and gender identity is an important issue. Shame, taboos, lack of time and resources make it difficult to deal with the topic openly and carefully. This is another reason why prevention is important!
The interactive exhibition is dedicated to this topic and creates a space where people's own feelings, needs and interests take center stage. It follows the principle that it should be a matter of course to treat each other with respect in friendships, romantic relationships or even when flirting. However, MIAU 2.0 is not a classic exhibition: equipped with headphones, the young people enter the room and can inform themselves, exchange ideas, play, discuss and also relax at ten stations using a variety of media. The exhibition deliberately appeals to many different senses. Each visit to the exhibition ends with a group discussion and reflection.
For young people aged 12 and over
A production by: haru.k, Hannah Maneck, G Cartone, Leonie Ohlow, Gabriela Jimenez Falch, Denitsa Stoyanova, Lena Kästner, Luri Schmidt
